Work with your Distributor

Straight forward article on working with a distributor partner by our friend Wizinwine . 

So often I see wineries with the perspective that once they get a Distributor that they will see immediate sales.  That the Distributor has a magic wand that will seed their wine into al the top accounts and that their brand will explode onto the marketplace.  This is a bit idealistic and the reality is that once a winery acquires a distributor partner, the work must then begin.  Acquiring distribution channels is the most important way to grow a brand, but this only happens when the partners work together.

Wine sales really comes down to one thing.  After all the sell sheets, work withs, discount levels and programs; the only reason anyone buys wine from you is if they like you.  This means at all levels.
