Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to BottleJunction. At BottleJunction, we understand the premium you place on the protection of your privacy on the Public Internet, and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible visiting the BottleJunction Site(s) and Service(s). This Privacy Policy will tell you what information we collect, how we protect it, and what choices you have about how that information is used. We urge you to read our Privacy Policy so that you will understand both our commitment to you and your privacy, and how you can help us to honor that commitment.

The following Articles make up our Privacy Policy for the BottleJunction Site(s). We hope that reading them gives you a clear idea of how we manage your Personal Information.

Please remember that any Personal Information that you reveal in a public forum on or accessible through the BottleJunction Site(s)(such as a bulletin board(s), mail list(s), chat room(s)/event(s), et cetera) is not subject to this Privacy Policy, and will be seen by Third Parties not related to BottleJunction and may therefore be used by them to contact you or for other unauthorized purposes. Also, if you link to a Third Party Site from the BottleJunction Site, any information you reveal on that Site is not subject to this Privacy Policy. You should consult the Privacy Policies of each Site you visit. We cannot control, and are not responsible for, the disclosure or use of any information revealed in any manner.

ARTICLE 1. Personal Information We Collect

We collect information about you in the following ways:

Voluntarily Provided Information.

When you registered as a user of the Site, you or your authorized agent voluntarily provided information about you and the Person/Group/Practice/Business on whose behalf you registered. If you completed the registration on behalf of the Person/Group/Practice/Business and its personnel, you represented to us that the Person/Group/Practice/Business authorized you and its personnel to give us consent to use any or all of the information included on the enrollment forms. We will continue to use that information in accordance with the Enrollment Forms, the Terms Of Service and this Privacy Policy, unless you, the Person/Group/Practice/Business or the affected individual reasonably notifies us to the contrary.

We also collect other information that you voluntarily provide to us, e.g., through responses to surveys, questionnaires, and similar efforts.

IP Address.

We record and store the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer when you visit our Site. This information may be used to create broad demographic summaries of where our users come from, e.g., what percentage of users come from America, Asia, Europe or Africa. Our use of IP addresses trends, however, does not individually identify the actual users of the Site either directly or indirectly.

We may also collect information about you and your use of our Site through the use of Cookies. "Cookies" are small computer files created on your computer's hard drive that allows us to know how often someone visits our Site and the activities they conduct while on our Site. This information helps us dynamically generate advertising and content on web pages specifically designed for you and also allows us to statistically monitor how many people are using our Site and for what purpose. Sponsors, Advertisers or Third Parties may also use Cookies when you select their advertisement(s), content(s) or service(s); we cannot control their use of Cookies or how they use the information they gather. If you do not want information collected through Cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to deny or accept the Cookie feature. However, Cookies may be necessary to provide you with certain features (for example, customized delivery of information) available on the Site.

Log Files.

We may also collect information about you and your use of our Site as your activity and use of the Site is recorded in our Application(s) and Service(s) log files. From time to time our engineers may collate, aggregate, and analyze this information to better understand how the Site is being used by you and others collectively. This information may be used to improve the Site by redesigning certain functional and architectural aspects.

ARTICLE 2. Disclosure of Your Information to Third Parties

Except as set forth in this Article, we will not intentionally disclose either directly or indirectly to unaffiliated companies any information we gather from you that could be used to identify or contact you. Any Personal Information provided to entities affiliated with BottleJunction will be treated in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy, unless you are otherwise reasonably notified. In the following limited circumstances, we may release Personal Information to third parties: (i) to comply with applicable legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena, discovery request, or court order; (ii) in special cases, such as a physical threat to you or others. We may also provide Personal Information to our vendors and suppliers (collectively, "Vendors") when it is necessary for them to provide us with products and services related to the better operation and maintenance of our Site. We will attempt to require that each of these Vendors not further use or disclose your Personal Information for any purpose other than providing us or you with products and services. Of course, we cannot guarantee their compliance with these restrictions.

We may provide information about you that does not allow you to be identified or contacted ("Aggregate Information") to Third Parties. For example, we might inform Third Parties regarding the number of users of our Site and the activities they conduct while on our Site. We might also inform a company (that may or may not be an advertiser on our Site) that "30% of our users work east of the Mississippi" or that "25% of our users ." Depending on the circumstances, we may or may not charge for this information.

ARTICLE 3. How We Handle Your Personal Information Internally

We want your Personal Information to remain as secure as is reasonably and economically possible. That is why we have implemented a multi-tier process that combines technical safeguards and employee access restrictions.

On the technical side, we selectively use Secure Socket Layer ("SSL") encryption technology to protect the integrity and privacy of the Personal Information you submit to us over the Public Internet. As an additional security measure, your Personal Information is also kept physically separate on a secure server where it is stored in a sophisticated database. To take advantage of these technical safeguards, you must meet the following minimum browser requirements for this Site: Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or higher, Safari 5.0 or higher.

On the employee side, only a few authorized and highly qualified BottleJunction employees are permitted to access your Personal Information. Access by authorized personnel is controlled by multi-factor authentication (i.e., multiple sophisticated passwords or a fingerprint scanner, combined with multiple layers of physical security).

Internally we may use your registration information and other voluntarily submitted information, including Personal Information, in the following ways:

  • To process and verify subscriptions;
  • To verify user credentials in order to maintain reasonable security;
  • To provide our engineers with information that is useful in developing new features and services;
  • To potentially vary advertising based on user preference, usage preferences, and demographics;
  • To develop and improve the features, content, and services available through the Site;
  • To contact you regarding new Site features, topic-based news alerts, and products.

You may opt-out of receiving these emails in the manner specified in the email or on this Site or by changing your preferences in your member profile as specified in Article 5.

You can always contact us in order to: (i) delete your Personal Information from our systems, (ii) update the Personal Information that you have provided to us, and (iii) change your preferences with respect to informational/promotional contacts, by emailing our customer service department. We may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting revisions to our Site.
